CNA classes are held Monday - Friday from 7:00 am - 3:30 pm over a 6 week period. Attendance is required. Any tardiness or absence may result in being removed from the program.

Qualifications for Our CNA Training Program:

• PAID training $18/hr while training
• High-school diploma or equivalent
• Compassion for the elderly
• Work at our facility as a full-time CNA upon completion of the program for at least one year
• Must be willing to stay on as a part of your team
• Must pass a criminal background check

Responsibilities of Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA):

• Help residents with day-to-day activities such as bathing, grooming, meals, dressing, etc. under the direction of a nurse
• Maintain patient comfort and safety
• Document vital signs, weight, meal intake, bowel and bladder, etc.
• Assist with Restorative Nursing duties
• Answer call lights promptly
• Performs CNA skills
• Observe and adhere to all facility safety policies and procedures
• Identify safety hazards and emergencies and help initiate corrective action
• Identify special resident problems, report them immediately to the nurse, and take an active role in helping problem solve to resolve the issues
• Review resident profiles and perform nursing care as outlined
• Observe infection control procedures
• Ambulates and transfers resident per their
