Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst with deep expertise in Power BI, SQL, and Microsoft Dynamics AX (including X++ development). This professional will play a critical role in supporting business operations, optimizing reporting capabilities, and developing analytical solutions that drive strategic decision‑making. The position is full‑time and requires strong technical, analytical, and communication skills to collaborate effectively across departments. The role reports directly to the IT Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and maintain Power BI dashboards, data models, and reports.
- Write, review, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and data structures.
- Support all Dynamics AX modules across the organization, including troubleshooting, functional configuration, and workflow enhancements.
- Design and develop customizations in X++ to meet evolving business requirements.
- Collaborate with retail, warehouse, finance, and management teams to analyze business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Conduct business analysis to understand operational challenges and propose effective data-driven solutions.
- Ensure data integrity, quality, and consistency across systems.
- Participate in system upgrades, integrations, and cross-functional IT projects.
- Provide end‑user support, documentation, and training as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, BI Developer, or similar role.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Power BI (DAX, data modeling, Power Query).
- Strong SQL experience, including query optimization and relational database design.
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX (2012 R3 preferred), including X++ development.
- Demonstrated business analysis experience, especially in process mapping and requirements gathering.
- Experience working in the retail industry (multi‑store operations preferred).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work with both technical and non‑technical teams.
- Proven ability to solve complex problems and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, or other cloud data tools.
- Familiarity with ERP integrations and API‑based data flows.
- Knowledge of warehouse and POS systems used in retail environments.
- Experience with project management methodologies.
Reporting Structure
This position reports directly to the IT Director and works collaboratively with cross‑functional business units, including Retail Operations, Warehouse, Buying, Finance, and Executive Leadership
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80, $100,000.00 per year
