Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and knowledgeable OSHA Safety Director to oversee safety and occupational health standards at our manufacturing plant. In this role, you will champion a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and promoting a safe working environment for all employees. The ideal candidate is passionate about workplace safety, possesses strong leadership skills, and has experience in manufacturing settings. Your efforts will help prevent accidents, reduce risks, and foster continuous safety improvements across the facility.
Duties
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs aligned with OSHA standards and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with environmental health and safety (EHS) regulations.
- Lead incident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Deliver engaging training sessions on topics such as first aid, CPR, OSHA requirements, workers' compensation law, and occupational health.
- Manage workers' compensation claims process and ensure proper reporting in accordance with legal requirements.
- Collaborate with management to establish safety policies, procedures, and emergency response plans tailored to manufacturing operations.
- Maintain detailed report writing on safety performance metrics, incident reports, inspection findings, and improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Science, or related field (preferred).
- 5+ years of safety leadership experience in manufacturing; food manufacturing
- experience a plus.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety management systems.
- Experience developing training materials and leading employee training.
- Proven ability to conduct investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Certifications such as OSHA 30, CHST, or CSP (preferred).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50, $60,000.00 per year
