Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety, with experience in fine dining and catering environments. This role involves preparing high-quality dishes according to menu specifications, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, and ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our guests. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent knife skills, menu planning abilities, and a thorough understanding of food handling procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items with precision and consistency, adhering to recipes and presentation standards
  • Assist in menu planning and ingredient selection to ensure quality and freshness
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients
  • Follow food safety guidelines and sanitation procedures at all times
  • Handle food with care, ensuring proper food handling techniques are followed to prevent contamination
  • Support catering events by preparing dishes according to specifications
  • Serve dishes efficiently during busy service hours while maintaining high standards of quality
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely delivery of orders

Requirements

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or related roles within the food industry
  • Strong culinary skills, including knife skills and meal preparation techniques
  • Experience in fine dining, restaurant service, or catering environments is preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with menu planning and food presentation standards
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Prior kitchen experience or culinary training is highly desirable

Pay: $ $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
