Host/Hostess

Overview
Egg & Berry cafe is seeking a friendly and organized Host/Hostess to join our team in modern / positive restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and a seamless dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for guest services, and the ability to thrive in a busy atmosphere.

Duties

• Greet guests as they arrive and provide them with an inviting atmosphere.
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using Aloha POS or similar systems.
• Assist guests with inquiries about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely service.
• Handle phone calls with professionalism, providing information and taking reservations as needed.
• Help create a positive dining experience by addressing guest needs promptly and courteously.

Experience

• Previous experience in hospitality or food service is preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A passion for helping others and providing exceptional guest services in a restaurant or hotel setting is essential.
