Accountant

RV Canada, located in Nepean Ontario, has an available opportunity for a full-time Accountant. This is a Monday to Friday position, working alongside a team of accountants in an RV dealership setting. This is an on-site position , working from our dealership on Prince of Wales Drive.

Overview:

The Accountant performs all aspects of accounting for several operating companies. Functional areas include Processing Sales, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Bank and Intercompany Reconciliations, Inventory Management, and Reporting.

Reports to: Hub Controller

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

• General accounting functions including but not limited to general ledger, journal entries, A/R, A/P, Fixed Assets, investments, prepaids, accruals, deferrals, and bank reconciliations.
• Assisting in the preparation of books for audit.
• Reconciliation of financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 - 5 years' prior bookkeeping experience.
• Business Administration Diploma or Degree in Accounting/Finance an asset.
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
• Great data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly in Excel.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Resourceful, forward-thinking, and collaborative with a strong sense of team spirit.
• A hands-on, self-starter who is motivated and dedicated.
• Accountable, takes initiative and ownership.
