Levitt-Safety is growing, and we're looking for mechanically inclined Service Technicians to join our Vehicle Fire Suppression repair and maintenance team in the Fermont -Labrador City area.
If you enjoy working with tools, troubleshooting mechanical systems, and taking pride in hands-on work that keeps people and equipment safe, this role offers a strong opportunity to build a long-term technical career. You'll receive formal manufacturer training, certifications, and hands-on mentoring from experienced technicians across Canada.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in the field, solving problems, and being the go-to expert customers rely on for safety-critical equipment.
What You'll Do
- Inspect, repair, and maintain vehicle fire suppression systems and related fire and life safety equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance and system testing to ensure compliance and reliability
- Conduct life safety inspections and audits, providing practical recommendations for follow-up service
- Deliver site-specific training to equipment owners and end users
- Represent Levitt-Safety on-site by providing professional, safety-focused customer service
- Work independently and as part of a team in active industrial environments
What We're Looking For
- Strong mechanical aptitude and a hands-on mindset
- Experience working with vehicles, heavy equipment, or mechanical systems (shop, fleet, industrial, or similar environments)
- Passion for safety, quality work, and continuous learning
- Comfortable communicating with customers and site contacts
- Ability to use computers and mobile devices for reporting and documentation
- Bilingual (English & French) with the ability to communicate confidently in both
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
Fire protection or life safety experience is an asset but not required - we provide training.
