Maintenance Technician

The Roving Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing maintenance support across multiple properties as assigned. This role ensures that all communities remain in excellent condition by performing repairs, preventive maintenance, and service requests in a timely and professional manner. The ideal candidate is flexible, organized, and able to adapt quickly to different property needs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Travel between assigned properties to complete maintenance tasks as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs including plumbing, electrical, HVAC (as applicable), carpentry, painting, and appliance repair.
• Complete work orders promptly while maintaining high-quality service standards.
• Assist with unit turns, including cleaning, painting, repairs, and preparation for new move-ins.
• Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory in a clean, orderly, and safe condition.
• Collaborate with onsite teams to ensure timely communication and follow-up on maintenance issues.
• Adhere to company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in apartment maintenance or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of general maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance repair.
• HVAC certification preferred but not required (if required by state/local laws).
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to travel daily between properties.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and crouch for extended periods.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.

Work Environment

• Primarily field-based, traveling between properties.
• May involve on-call rotation depending on business needs.
