Overview

Edge Media Systems is seeking a driven and personable Sales Associate to support our growing out-of-home advertising platform. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in conversation, enjoys building relationships, and isn't afraid of outbound outreach. As part of our team, you will engage with business owners, identify advertising opportunities, generate qualified leads, and promote our screen-adjacent advertising placements across bars, restaurants, entertainment venues, and stadium settings.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, confident on the phone, and comfortable creating prospect lists, cold calling, and nurturing leads from introduction to opportunity. Strong communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to work independently are essential. This position provides base pay plus commission with 1099 flexibility, offering income growth tied directly to your initiative and performance. If you enjoy marketing conversations, prospecting, and helping brands increase visibility, this role provides a dynamic pathway to develop sales skills in a rapidly growing media environment.

DUTIES

  • Source and develop prospect lists of local and regional businesses suitable for advertising placement
  • Conduct outbound outreach (calls, emails, social messaging) to generate qualified leads
  • Educate potential clients on Edge Media Systems' patented screen-adjacent advertising platform and value proposition
  • Schedule meetings or presentations for decision-makers, marketing teams, and business owners
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, conversations, and pipeline activity
  • Follow up consistently to build relationships and convert interest into signed advertising contracts
  • Represent Edge Media Systems professionally in communication, promoting trust and brand credibility
  • Provide feedback on market opportunities, lead quality, and competitive trends
  • Support overall sales initiatives that drive visibility, revenue growth, and brand expansion
  • Seek new verticals and business categories to expand market penetration

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong communication and phone presence — confident speaking with business owners and decision makers
  • Ability to independently build prospect lists and manage outreach without constant direction
  • Self-motivated and goal-driven mindset — thrives on performance-based results
  • Professional email etiquette and relationship-building ability
  • Basic CRM, spreadsheet, or tracking skills for pipeline management
  • Experience in sales, cold calling, real estate, recruiting, media, or customer service is a plus but not required
  • Entrepreneurial energy — willingness to learn quickly, adapt, and generate new ideas
  • Resilient attitude — comfortable handling rejection and moving forward
  • Understanding of marketing, advertising, or local business buying patterns is helpful
  • Ability to work efficiently in a remote or independent environment
