Personal Trainer/PT tech

At Joint Effort Movement Center, we do physical therapy differently. We provide 1:1 PT sessions, offer a range of unique specialty services not found anywhere else in Charleston, and proudly remain in-network with insurance to keep high-quality care accessible.

We desire extending our patient's care through starting a wellness side to our business and we are looking for a motivated and movement-minded individual to join our team.

You might be a great fit if you have some of these interests:

• Planning to pursue a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree and seeking observation hours
• Passion for working with dancers, artistic athletes, or individuals with hypermobility
• Excited to collaborate with a physical therapist to transition clients from rehab into a long-term wellness program
• Interested in helping build a wellness program from scratch, including class design, structure, and client flow

Job Duties

• Work 1:1 and in small groups with clients to build and progress individualized wellness programs
• Support marketing events and outreach to promote and grow our new wellness program
• Assist physical therapists with back-end clinical duties, managing equipment and supplies, and clinic cleaning tasks
• Help with scheduling and client coordination when available

The role will begin with more administrative tasks as the program launches. As you take on more wellness clients and deliver more hands-on services, your pay will increase accordingly

• Paid CEU courses and hands-on learning directly from our physical therapists
• Opportunity to earn PT observation hours for future school applications
• The chance to play a meaningful role in building a new wellness program at a forward-thinking PT clinic

Qualifications

• Certification in personal training required
• Background in exercise science, kinesiology, dance science, athletic training, or related field (preferred but not required)
• Professional, organized, and eager to learn in a collaborative, client-centered environment

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16.0 per week
