We do this by being deeply knowledgeable, fully capable, and always dependable, and our associates are the driving force behind this commitment./ph3Job Summary/h3pResponsible for participating in structured Accelerated Sales Program to gain sales knowledge, know-how and expertise to enable success as an Account Manager./ph3Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities/h3ulliEngages in classroom, independent study and on-the-job training to learn the companys business model, products, vendors, customer needs, job site environment, systems, competitors, pricing, sales approach and selling skills./liliGenerates viable sales leads and prospects through use of Dodge Pipeline, sales events, job site visits, networking, vendor events, etc. and analyze./liliMakes outbound business development phone calls./liliPrepares and executes account plans./liliSells White Cap value proposition and products./liliLearns about making effective jobsite or office sales calls by riding along with the District Sales Manager or experienced Account Managers./liliEnters and processes customer orders./liliSeeks and responds to performance feedback./li/ulh3Nature and Scope/h3ulliWorks in compliance with established procedures and/or protocols. Identifies and resolves readily identifiable, clearly defined problems. Demonstrates skill in data analysis and techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information and inconsistencies in routine research/data./liliNature of work requires general supervision; exercises judgment. May be paired with a mentor. Work typically involves regular process checks or review of output by a coworker and/or supervisor./liliMay provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support or professional personnel./li/ulh3Work Environment/h3ulliTypically located in a comfortable indoor area. There may be regular exposure to mild physical discomfort from factors, such as dust, fumes or odors, temperature extremes, loud noise, strong drafts, or bright lights./liliMost of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles./liliTypically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time./li/ulh3Education and Experience/h3ulliTypically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Certification may be required in some areas. Generally 0-2 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 0-1 year of experience in a related field./li/ulh3Preferred Qualifications/h3ulliBachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or related field or one to two years of sales or related field experience preferred./liliStrong communication skills and comfortable conversing with team members./liliRequires strong self-governance, proactive approach, personal accountability, and increasing independence./liliCompetitive nature with a drive to succeed./liliGoal oriented with personal accountability to delivering on metrics/liliOpen to feedback and willing to take action to improve performance/liliDemonstrated ability to plan and organize daily activities./li/ulpIf youre looking to play a role in building America, consider one of our open opportunities.
