As an Embedded Software Development Engineer with a focus on Fieldbus Technologies, you will play an important role in ensuring the projects are delivered on time, within budget, and of high quality. As the specialist in this topic, you will greatly impact the success of the GF Process Automation product portfolio.

Develop embedded software for sensors and actuators for the Process Industry
Integrate fieldbus protocols, for eg. Profinet, Ethernet/IP, and Modbus/TCP
Conduct integration tests. Take care of the devices’ approval
Collaborate with hardware engineers and software engineers in-house and abroad as well as with external service providers
Ensure quality as well as efficient and timely delivery
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies
Supporting lifecycle management of existing fieldbus-based products

Bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent in electrical engineering, computer science, or comparable
A minimum of 5 years experience in developing embedded software in an industrial environment
Experience with digital connectivity, eg. Profinet, EtherNet/IP, Modbus/TCP, IO-Link
Experience in modern C++ (C++ 11 and higher), with ARM Cortex MCUs as well as embedded OS
Experience in Scrum or similar agile methodologies
Experience with cyber security, eg. IEC62443-4 is a plus
English on a good level is a must
A valid work permit for Switzerland or at least an EU citizenship
