We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Order Picker to join our dynamic warehouse team in Houston, Texas. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and safely selecting products from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role is crucial to our overall logistics operations, ensuring timely and correct shipments. You will work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing scanners and order sheets to locate and retrieve items. Attention to detail is paramount to minimize errors and maintain customer satisfaction. This position involves significant walking and reaching throughout the warehouse. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and adhere to all company policies and procedures. We are committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment, and all employees are required to use provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. Regular lifting will be a part of your daily tasks, so physical stamina is essential. Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from designated locations based on order tickets.
- Scan product barcodes to ensure correct items and quantities.
- Repackage items as needed for shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Report any damaged or missing inventory immediately.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols.
- Operate pallet jacks or other equipment safely, as required.
- Meet performance standards for picking accuracy and speed.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in order picking or warehouse operations preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, typically up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, including safety shoes and vests.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime.
