We have an immediate opening for a skilled Forklift Operator at our Raleigh, North Carolina logistics hub. This position is crucial for the efficient movement of goods within our distribution center. You will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts to load, unload, and move materials, as well as assisting with stocking and order fulfillment. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload goods from trucks and containers with precision.
- Transport inventory to and from storage areas and production lines.
- Stack and organize materials according to warehouse layouts.
- Assist in the picking and staging of outgoing orders.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Participate in inventory control activities as directed.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse supervisors and team members regarding material flow and safety concerns.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certified Forklift Operator with at least 1-2 years of experience.
- Proficiency in operating sit-down, stand-up, and reach forklifts.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety best practices and logistics operations.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to work different shifts if required.
