Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in Raleigh, North Carolina. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing process improvements to optimize stock accuracy and availability. Your attention to detail will be crucial in ensuring the smooth flow of goods through our distribution center. You will work closely with various departments, including receiving, shipping, and operations, to resolve inventory-related issues promptly and efficiently. Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock levels.
  • Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory data in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Identify and report on slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to ensure timely stock replenishment.
  • Assist in training new team members on inventory processes.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to inventory management.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the warehouse environment.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or a related warehouse role.
  • Proficiency in WMS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that may require lifting up to 30 lbs.
