Join our fast-paced logistics team in Washington, D.C. as a Forklift Operator. We are seeking experienced and safety-conscious individuals to operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of materials within the warehouse, contributing to the overall success of our supply chain operations. Safety is paramount in this role, and adherence to all company and OSHA guidelines is expected. We are committed to providing a secure and supportive work environment for our employees.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stack and store merchandise in appropriate locations, maintaining clear aisles.
- Perform pre-operation inspections on equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all Safety protocols.
- Follow all company policies, including the mandatory use of appropriate PPE.
- Support general warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Demonstrated ability in Safe operation of various types of forklifts.
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting (up to 60 lbs).
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics flow.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and the importance of wearing PPE.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
- A strong commitment to workplace Safety and operational excellence.
