We are hiring a skilled Reach Truck Operator for our state-of-the-art warehouse in Phoenix, Arizona. This role is essential for efficient material handling and inventory management within our fast-paced logistics environment. As a Reach Truck Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a reach truck to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. You will also be involved in picking and put-away processes, ensuring accuracy and speed. A strong commitment to safety is paramount, and you must be comfortable wearing all required PPE. The ideal candidate will have proven experience operating a reach truck, a keen eye for detail, and a solid understanding of warehouse safety protocols. Responsibilities:
- Operate a reach truck safely and efficiently to move inventory.
- Pick and place pallets and individual items in designated warehouse locations.
- Perform put-away operations for incoming goods.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on the reach truck to ensure safety and functionality.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and report discrepancies.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Wear all required PPE at all times.
- Follow instructions from supervisors regarding material handling priorities.
- Support the logistics team in achieving operational efficiency.
- Participate in regular safety training and team meetings.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
- Manage inventory in high-bay racking systems.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
- Contribute to a safe and productive work environment.
- Ensure proper handling of all materials to prevent damage.
- Track and report on material handling activities.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating a reach truck.
- Valid forklift operator certification is highly desirable.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read and understand warehouse signage and instructions.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
- Willingness to wear required PPE and follow safety guidelines.
- Physical ability to perform tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Experience in a logistics or warehouse environment is essential.
