Join our Fort Worth, Texas team as a Receiving Clerk and play a key role in our warehouse operations. We are looking for an individual with a strong sense of responsibility and a commitment to accuracy in managing incoming goods. Your duties will include verifying shipments, inspecting products, documenting receipts, and ensuring proper staging for warehouse put-away. Maintaining a safe and organized receiving area is paramount. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and understands the importance of efficient logistics. You will be an integral part of a team dedicated to maintaining the integrity of our inventory and ensuring smooth operations throughout the distribution center. We emphasize Safety in all our tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Receive all inbound deliveries, carefully checking items against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect all goods for any damages or discrepancies and document findings.
- Enter received goods into the warehouse management system (WMS) with precision.
- Label all received items appropriately for tracking and storage.
- Prepare received goods for put-away or internal transfers.
- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the receiving dock and surrounding areas.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety protocols and wear the necessary PPE.
- Assist in conducting physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and logistics partners to resolve any receiving issues.
- Capability to manage moderate Lifting tasks, up to 50 lbs.
- Support the seamless flow of logistics by ensuring accurate and timely processing of incoming stock.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving environment is advantageous.
- Proficiency in using scanners and basic computer applications.
- Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Physical ability to perform tasks including standing, walking, bending, and occasional Lifting.
- A strong understanding of Safety procedures and best practices in a warehouse setting.
- Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must comply with all PPE requirements for the role.
