Columbus, Ohio, is looking for a meticulous Shipping Clerk to join our vibrant logistics team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that orders are accurately prepared, packaged, and dispatched to our customers on time. Your responsibilities will include coordinating the shipment process, generating shipping labels, preparing documentation, and working closely with carriers. A strong sense of organization and attention to detail is paramount for success in this position. Responsibilities:
- Process all outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Generate shipping labels and documentation for various carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, USPS, LTL).
- Verify order accuracy before packaging and shipment.
- Package items securely to prevent damage during transit.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for timely pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain an organized shipping area and ensure all outgoing shipments are accounted for.
- Update shipping records and inventory systems in real-time.
- Follow all Safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Assist with Loading and unloading of shipments when necessary.
- Ability to handle physical tasks including Lifting of packages up to 50 lbs.
- Understand and apply general logistics principles.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and basic computer skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of Safety regulations within a warehouse setting.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, standing for extended periods, and bending.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must comply with all company policies regarding PPE and Safety protocols.
