Lead Solution Architect
to define, design, and drive the delivery of complex, high-impact technology solutions within a large, regulated environment. This is a senior leadership role where you’ll set technical direction, lead other Solution Architects, and balance innovation, risk, and business delivery at scale. You will own the
vision, architecture decisions, and strategic outcomes
that underpin major transformation initiatives. What You’ll Be Doing: As a Lead Solution Architect, you’ll operate at both
strategic and execution levels , influencing platforms that support critical business capabilities. You will: Lead the design of secure, scalable, cloud-first solutions aligned to modern engineering practices Own solution vision documents, key architectural decisions, and solution blueprints Drive adoption of standardised platforms while evolving them where needed Balance technology risk, cost, resiliency, and delivery outcomes Embed security, resilience, and regulatory compliance by design Support operational teams with fault analysis and performance considerations Produce architecture artefacts required for governance, security, privacy, and records management Leadership & Team Responsibility: This role includes
direct leadership of other Solution Architects : Lead and mentor a growing team (currently ~8, expanding further) Manage and develop architects across multiple locations (UK & India) Provide pastoral care, coaching, and technical guidance Influence senior stakeholders, Product Owners, Engineers, and Platform leaders Challenge constructively, align across departments, and drive decisions What We’re Looking For: Proven experience as a
Lead / Principal Solution Architect
in complex environments Strong background designing
enterprise-scale, regulated solutions Experience driving data platform adoption or large-scale data transformation Confidently influencing senior stakeholders and leading through ambiguity Ability to translate complex architecture into clear business outcomes Comfortable operating within
Scaled Agile (SAFe)
environments Experience from Financial Services, Consulting, or large enterprise environments Provide
deep expertise in at least one
of these strategic pillars: AI / ML & Advanced Analytics Platforms
(Agentic or GenAI platforms – architecture) Data Platform Transformation
(Modern data platforms such as Snowflake, MongoDB, Lakehouse architectures) Highly Valued Experience: RESTful API design and integration at scale Event-driven and asynchronous architectures Navigating legacy platforms alongside modern cloud ecosystems Architecture governance, risk management, and control frameworks Working across product, compliance, engineering, and data teams Apply or get in touch with me for more details.
