About The Role SEO is a core growth lever for Montu across the UK and EU. We’re hiring a hands‑on, technically elite SEO Manager to own and scale organic performance - including the shift toward AI‑led discovery (SGE, Copilot, LLM/answer engines). This is not a content‑only role. You’ll set the roadmap, ship technical improvements, and partner with Product/Engineering to drive measurable acquisition impact in a highly regulated space.
Key responsibilities Strategy & Leadership
Own the SEO roadmap aligned to commercial OKRs and growth targets.
Lead keyword/intent research and translate it into prioritised actions (technical + content briefs).
Champion SEO across Product, Engineering, Content and Social.
Convert algorithm and AI‑search shifts into clear, practical business action.
Technical SEO excellence
Run deep technical audits and fix issues across crawlability, indexing, canonicals, redirects, schema and architecture.
Implement changes directly in CMS/templates where possible; drive engineering tickets when needed.
Improve Core Web Vitals, internal linking, structured data and crawl budget.
Performance, reporting & insight
Own SEO measurement (GA4, Search Console, SEO tooling).
Track rankings, organic sessions, assisted conversions and revenue impact.
Tell the story behind the numbers and drive decisions - not just dashboards.
Growth, authority & AI-search
Use AI to accelerate research, audits, automation, forecasting and optimisation.
Optimise entity structures and content for LLM/AI visibility.
Build a compliant authority strategy (digital PR, partnerships, link acquisition) aligned to healthcare trust signals.
Experience & Qualifications
5+ years’ hands‑on SEO with strong technical depth (ideally in regulated or high‑growth B2C).
Proven organic growth in high‑intent acquisition funnels.
Strong foundation in architecture, crawl/index control, HTML/CSS and basic scripting.
Confident with E‑E‑A‑T / YMYL and healthcare trust frameworks.
Advanced GA4/GSC + SEO platforms; able to translate lean data into commercial insight.
Excellent communicator across technical and non‑technical teams.
Who this role is for A doer‑strategist. Senior enough to own the roadmap, hands‑on enough to run audits, implement changes, and move fast. You thrive in a scale‑up where ownership is real and impact is the measure.
