Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our demolition team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating various types of heavy machinery on construction sites, ensuring safety, efficiency, and precision in all operations. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects requiring mechanical expertise and a strong understanding of construction equipment. Candidates should possess a solid background in operating machinery such as dozers, loaders, excavators, cranes, and other heavy equipment essential for large-scale construction projects.
Duties
- Operate heavy machinery including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, and farm machinery with precision and safety.
- Perform site preparation tasks such as grading, excavation, and material handling to support construction activities.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Follow project plans and specifications to execute tasks accurately within designated timelines.
- Adhere to safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate equipment usage and project progress effectively.
Experience
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as dozers, loaders (including front loaders), excavators (including Caterpillar models), cranes, backhoes, and other relevant machinery.
- Construction site experience is highly preferred, demonstrating familiarity with site safety standards and operational procedures.
- Mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting is advantageous.
- Experience driving commercial vehicles including dump trucks, tanker trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, and front loader trucks is desirable.
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is preferred or required depending on the role's scope. This position requires a dedicated professional capable of handling physically demanding tasks while maintaining safety standards across diverse construction environments.
Pay: $ $32.05 per hour
