Overview
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and accuracy. This role is vital in maintaining smooth distribution processes within a fast-paced environment, including e-commerce and third-party logistics (3PL) operations. The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for managing teams, optimizing processes, and ensuring compliance with OSHA standards.
Duties
- Supervise daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and materials handling
- Oversee warehouse distribution operations to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
- Manage inventory using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and AS400 platforms to maintain optimal stock levels
- Lead and coordinate team management efforts, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and safety standards
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety protocols across all warehouse activities
- Operate or oversee the operation of forklifts and other mechanical equipment for heavy lifting and materials handling
- Coordinate logistics for inbound and outbound shipments, including shipping & receiving processes
- Maintain accurate records related to inventory control, shipping schedules, and warehouse documentation
- Collaborate with 3PL providers to streamline distribution channels and improve service levels
Experience
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar warehouse management role
- Strong background in inventory management, warehouse distribution, and logistics coordination
- Hands-on experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400, and other relevant software such as OSHAs guidelines
- Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment operation including forklifts
- Demonstrated ability in process improvement initiatives within a warehouse setting
- Experience with e-commerce fulfillment processes and materials handling techniques
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices for heavy lifting and materials handling
- Leadership skills with experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience working with 3PL providers is preferred
