A Senior Software Engineer is responsible for assisting with software-related projects in the organization. They will help execute application development and work with other IT professionals to achieve all company objectives following a strict timeline. Designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software programming applications. Supports and/or installs software applications/operating systems. Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software. Senior Software engineers will design software, complete application development, as well as evaluate code reviews and make recommendations for changes. Engineers will attend team meetings as well as assessing the problems and propose solutions that efficiently use company resources and minimize expenditures.

Education
:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related degree

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years' working as a software engineer or higher
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working with Microsoft development stack technologies

Preferred Qualifications
:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the C# programming language
  • Strong proficiency in SQL/T-SQL
  • 2+ years' experience in front end JavaScript technologies (Angular, React, Vue)
  • 3+ years' experience in building, maintaining, and publishing software applications
  • 1+ years' experience with Azure technologies
  • Ability to communicate well with employees outside of technology team
  • Ability to work independently without oversight and perform at a high level

Responsibilities:

  • Helps provide strategic direction for current applications, including upgrade planning and high level feature concepts
  • Designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements features for our internal software systems.
  • Supports and/or installs software applications/operating systems.
  • Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software.
  • Meet with business stakeholders to ensure we're delivering valuable items to the business
  • Coach other software engineers
  • Assesses vulnerabilities within the system and ensures that applications are secure
  • Designs coding patterns to be used by other engineers for feature development

  • Education verification and other credentialing based on position requirements.
