Corporate Tax Preparer (Seasonal)

We are seeking an experienced Corporate Tax Preparer to support our team during the upcoming tax season. This role focuses on preparing and filing tax returns for small corporations, partnerships, and related business entities, while also assisting with bookkeeping tasks and client communication.

The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of corporate tax regulations, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include meeting with clients to gather necessary information, reviewing profit and loss statements, preparing accurate tax forms, ensuring all signatures and required documentation are collected, and submitting completed returns in a timely manner. This position plays a key role in delivering a smooth and professional experience for our business clients during peak filing periods.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file corporate, partnership, and small-business tax returns accurately and on time.
  • Review and analyze financial information, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and supporting documents.
  • Communicate with clients to gather missing information, clarify details, and provide guidance throughout the preparation process.
  • Ensure all required tax forms are completed, signed, and properly submitted according to IRS and state regulations.
  • Maintain organized digital and physical files for each client, ensuring documentation is complete and compliant.
  • Assist with bookkeeping tasks, including data entry, categorization of expenses, and reconciliation as needed.
  • Identify potential tax savings opportunities and raise any discrepancies or concerns for review by senior staff.
  • Stay knowledgeable about relevant tax laws, deadlines, and filing requirements for corporate entities and partnerships.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while managing multiple client cases during peak season.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience preparing corporate and partnership tax returns (Form 1120, 1120-S, 1065, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of business tax regulations, financial statements, and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in tax preparation software and general office tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Drake, ProSeries, etc.).
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work efficiently under deadlines during busy tax season.
  • Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is highly preferred to better serve our diverse client base.
  • Integrity and professionalism when handling sensitive financial information.

Pay: $52, $62,895.87 per year
