Cocktail Server

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team in a high volume cocktail bar offering a small plate menu. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our guests. As a Server, you will play a key role in ensuring that each dining experience is memorable by delivering high-quality cocktails and food service while maintaining the standards of our establishment.

Duties

• Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Present menus, take orders, and provide recommendations based on guest preferences.
• Accurately input orders into the Toast POS system and ensure timely delivery of food and beverages.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to answer guest inquiries effectively.
• Ensure tables are properly set and maintained throughout the dining experience.
• Handle food safely and adhere to all food handling regulations.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure accuracy in order preparation and presentation.
• Process payments efficiently using the POS system while ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their experience.
• Uphold cleanliness standards in the dining area, including clearing tables and resetting for new guests.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant and/or cocktail bar setting is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
• Familiarity with Toast POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
• Experience in food handling practices within the food industry is essential.
• Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on hospitality and customer service.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high levels of hospitality, and attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required by business needs.
