About the Opportunity:
The organization provides a cloud-based platform that unifies digital, core, analytics, and AI to help property and casualty insurers modernize and thrive in an evolving industry. This role is for a technically strong and execution-focused Manager, Workday Technology to lead the development, optimization, and support of the global Workday platform, focusing on core modules such as HCM, Talent, Learning, and Recruiting. The position involves managing a high-performing team and driving technical and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
• Own the Workday platform and downstream integrations, ensuring configuration, maintenance, and optimization for HCM, Talent, Learning, and Recruiting modules
• Lead cross-functional Workday projects from requirements gathering to deployment and change management
• Implement secure, scalable solutions aligned with Workday best practices and internal engineering and security standards
• Translate business requirements into system solutions and develop the Workday team as needed
• Manage Workday tenant activities including version updates, change control, regression testing, and release adoption
• Support agile process maturity within the team
• Present architectural designs, integration strategies, and governance plans for technical approval of new vendors or tools
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation, data integrity, and performance tuning within Workday
• Collaborate with internal partners (Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, HR Ops) to optimize employee lifecycle processes and recommend system enhancements
• Stay informed on Workday trends and functionalities and advise HR leadership and functional departments accordingly
• Manage license structure and ensure compliance
• Oversee compliance audits to ensure data integrity
• Manage user access and permissions
• Train, guide, and share knowledge across team members, HR staff, and end users
• Manage and mentor a team of Workday professionals including developers, analysts, and administrators
• Define performance expectations, promote career development, and foster a culture of technical excellence
• Oversee work allocation, capacity planning, backlog management, and adherence to engineering standards
• Maintain a documentation-first, test-driven environment across all Workday technical efforts
Requirements:
• 8+ years of hands-on Workday technical experience, including 3+ years in team management
• Proven expertise with Workday HCM, Talent, Learning, and Recruiting modules, including Reporting, Dashboards, and Security
• Deep knowledge of Workday integration frameworks including Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and APIs
• Workday certifications in relevant modules preferred
• Familiarity with Workday PRISM Analytics, Worksheets, or similar tools preferred
• Experience with enterprise systems such as ADP, SAP Concur, or ServiceNow preferred
• Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred

Compensation:
• US base salary range of $130,000 - $194,000 for this full-time position
• Base pay depends on experience, skills, education, training, and location among other factors
