Martial Arts Instructor

New Albany Country Club seeks a highly motivated, positive, friendly, and energetic Martial Arts Instructor.

Hourly rate plus commission for each class taught.

Offering one weekend day class and possibly 1 weekday evening class.

Education and/or Experience

• Black belt (or advanced belt) in a traditional martial arts style, such as Karate or Taekwondo
• Prior experience teaching Martial Arts to students ages 5 years to teenage and varying fitness levels. Adult instruction experience is welcomed.

Essential Duties include:

• Create lesson plans to ensure skill progression for all ages advancing in belt levels.
• Plan and communicate the belt-testing event to promote students within the class.
• Plan and prepare skill progression specific to martial arts for each class.
• Instruct martial arts skill progression for all ages advancing in belt levels.
• Ensure students are using proper form and structure.
• Responsible for martial arts students' supervision and safety.
• Accurately track class attendance.
• Provide parent communication through daily connections, orientations, and class overviews.
• Complete skill evaluations for each student in class and keep skill cards up to date for class selection and progression awards.
• All other duties as assigned.
