Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings, including home, community, assisted living, and long-term care facilities. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents by delivering personalized care with professionalism and empathy. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor and observe patients for changes in health status, reporting any concerns promptly
- Administer medications and manage care plans in accordance with healthcare protocols and HIPAA regulations
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
- Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts, wheelchairs, and vital signs monitors safely and effectively
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment through regular cleaning and sanitation procedures
- Support residents with cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease through specialized memory care techniques
- Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being
- Follow all safety procedures, including CPR and first aid protocols, to ensure resident safety at all times
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and team members to develop and implement personalized care plans
Qualifications
- Prior experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or hospice care preferred
- Knowledge of patient observation, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring
- Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, HIPAA compliance training are highly desirable
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or dementia is a plus
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Strong communication skills with a compassionate approach to caregiving
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Flexibility to work various shifts including days or evenings; some positions may require working with residents who have complex medical needs
