Janitor/Cleaner

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure all areas are hygienic, organized, and well-maintained. Your proactive approach will contribute to a positive experience for staff, visitors, and clients alike. Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, hallways, offices, and common spaces to meet health and safety standards
• Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and carpet cleaners to ensure floors are well cared for
• Conduct detailed floor care including buffing, waxing, stripping, and polishing to preserve surface quality
• Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and cleaning products as needed
• Assist with light maintenance tasks like changing light bulbs or minor repairs to support overall facilities upkeep
• Follow safety procedures diligently and report any hazards or maintenance issues promptly

Requirements

• Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings preferred
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment operation including floor care and industrial cleaning tools
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and climbing ladders when necessary
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently throughout shifts
• Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and report issues clearly
• Basic understanding of facilities maintenance practices is a plus

Pay: $ $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 25.0 per week
