Role
Appellation is currently recruiting for a permanent, experienced, results oriented sales professional to fill a Territory Manager role based in Edmonton. Appellation is a customer focused business representing a portfolio of exceptional wine estates, spirits and beer from British Columbia and around the world. Responsibilities include:
- Manage a Sales Territory in the Edmonton and Northern Alberta region
- Develop and achieve annual sales and account level targets
- Achieve merchandising and distribution targets
- Implement and execute sales programs and pricing strategy
- Make professional presentations and launch new products using current beverage industry technology
- Build long term relationships with top Edmonton area on-premise and independent retail accounts through high call frequency, service and solution based selling
Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Superior presentation skills
- Team player
- Minimum 2 years in direct sales environment
- Thorough understanding of sales and territory management applications and principals as demonstrated through a proven track record of results
- Beverage Alcohol Industry experience selling in the province of Alberta
- Wine knowledge including understanding of grape growing and winemaking processes, and knowledge of the world's most important wine regions
- Sommelier/WSET credentials a plus
- University degree or diploma in sales and marketing
- Demonstrated proficiency working with Microsoft Office
- Valid Drivers License and a clean driving record
