I. Position Summary
Phlebotomist will draw blood specimens and/or obtain other bodily specimens per medical providers order. Responsible for transporting to the lab for processing and analysis for medical purposes.
II. Position Functions
A. Obtain and assemble equipment needed for specimen.
B. Verifies and records patient identity and orders
C. Explain procedures to patient
D. Obtain specimen(s) using aseptic and safety technique
E. Accurately label specimen(s) with patients information
F. Package specimen(s) to be shipped or transported
G. Document orders being processed appropriately
H. Follow up on lab reports not received via EMR.
I. Order/Maintain constant level of lab supplies
J. Knowledge of proper handling and disposal policies
K. Obtain and document patient vital signs as needed
L. Answering phones, filing and organization of lab
M. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
II. Position Qualification
· Phlebotomist certification
· Maintain Knowledge of proper handling and disposal policies
· Friendly interpersonal skills
· Strong oral and written communication skills
· Organization skills and records management skills
· Ability to manage confidential records and information
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Phlebotomy: 1 year (Preferred)
- Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (Preferred)
