Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber to join our construction and maintenance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with construction plumbing, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across various commercial and residential projects. Candidates should be comfortable working on construction sites, handling heavy lifting, and utilizing a variety of hand tools and power tools. A background in welding, HVAC, carpentry, or remodeling is a plus. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects that require technical expertise and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation
- Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding equipment to complete tasks
- Perform heavy lifting and physical tasks required for construction plumbing projects
- Collaborate with other trades such as carpentry, HVAC, or remodeling teams as needed
- Conduct inspections to identify issues with existing plumbing systems and recommend solutions
- Follow safety protocols on construction sites to ensure a safe working environment
- Assist in remodeling projects by providing plumbing expertise during renovations
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed and materials used
Experience
- Proven experience in construction plumbing or related fields such as mechanical or HVAC work
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, and welding equipment
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Experience working on construction sites with knowledge of safety standards
- Familiarity with schematics, basic math for measurements and calculations, and carpentry skills
- Prior maintenance person experience or involvement in remodeling projects is advantageous
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) or experience with commercial driving is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
