Head Housekeeper

Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Head Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cleaning, floor care, and hospitality operations, with proven leadership skills in custodial management. This role is vital in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction across our property. The Head Housekeeper will oversee daily cleaning activities, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and coordinate staff schedules to deliver exceptional service.

Duties

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff to ensure efficient operations.
• Develop and implement cleaning schedules, procedures, and standards aligned with hotel or facility policies.
• Conduct inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness and adherence to quality standards.
• Train new staff on cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and customer service expectations.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper usage and maintenance.
• Oversee floor care operations including carpet cleaning, waxing, polishing, and other specialized treatments.
• Address guest requests or complaints related to housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations to create a safe environment for staff and guests.
• Collaborate with management on budgeting, staffing levels, and process improvements.

Experience

• Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles within hospitality or industrial cleaning environments.
• Previous hotel housekeeping management experience is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care methods, and use of cleaning equipment.
• Familiarity with hospitality industry standards and guest service excellence.
• Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
