Job Summary
We are looking for a friendly and attentive Server to join our vibrant restaurant team. As a Server, you will be the face of our establishment, creating memorable dining experiences through excellent guest service and attention to detail. Your role is essential in ensuring our guests feel welcomed, comfortable, and satisfied from the moment they arrive until their departure. The ideal candidate is passionate about food, hospitality, and providing top-notch customer service, with a knack for multitasking in a lively environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables, providing menus and answering initial questions.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff.
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards, including fine dining etiquette when applicable.
• Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities using openTable or other reservation platforms.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while maintaining proper sanitation and food safety standards.
• Assist with food preparation tasks like bussing tables, cleaning service areas, and supporting kitchen staff when needed.
• Foster positive guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and ensuring overall guest satisfaction throughout their visit.

Experience

• Previous restaurant experience is highly preferred, especially in fine dining or upscale hospitality settings.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
• Experience in food handling, sanitation, and food safety protocols is essential for maintaining health standards.
• Background in food service roles like host/host or bartender can be beneficial for guest interaction skills.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
• Knowledge of the food industry trends and customer service best practices to create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, in a fast-paced nightclub or restaurant environment.
