Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Test Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and reliability of our electronic products through rigorous testing, inspection, and troubleshooting. Your expertise will help maintain high standards of quality assurance while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive testing of printed circuit boards (PCBs) and assembled electronic units using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and ohmmeters.
  • Utilize surface mount technology (SMT) techniques to assemble, inspect, and troubleshoot components on PCBs, ensuring compliance with IPC 610 standards for electronic assemblies.
  • Perform quality control inspections using automated optical inspection (AOI) systems and manual visual checks to identify defects or inconsistencies.
  • Analyze schematics and technical drawings to understand circuit layouts and troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Operate hand tools, soldering equipment, and mechanical tools to perform repairs or modifications during testing phases.
  • Collect data during testing procedures, document results accurately, and generate detailed reports for analysis and quality assurance purposes.
  • Support quality assurance initiatives by participating in root cause analysis, debugging faulty units, and recommending process improvements to enhance manufacturing efficiency.

Experience

  • Proven experience working in electronics manufacturing or assembly environments with a focus on testing or quality control.
  • Familiarity with surface mount technology (SMT), soldering techniques, and the use of precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and ohmmeters.
  • Knowledge of IPC 610 standards for electronic component assembly and inspection practices.
  • Hands-on experience with automated optical inspection (AOI) systems and other test automation tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret schematics, debug circuits, and perform data collection accurately.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to PCB assembly, component placement, and the use of hand tools for repairs or adjustments.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining high standards of quality inspection and assurance. Pay: $ $23.00 per hour
