Duties
- Assess patients' physical conditions by conducting comprehensive evaluations of their mobility, strength, and functional abilities using your knowledge of physiology and anatomy.
- Design and implement tailored care plans that incorporate evidence-based physiotherapy techniques, including trigger point therapy and orthopedics interventions.
- Deliver hands-on therapy sessions to improve movement, reduce pain, and facilitate recovery in various populations such as pediatrics, geriatrics, or post-surgical patients.
- Coordinate discharge planning with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless transition from hospital to home or community care settings.
- Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment strategies as needed to optimize outcomes in inpatient, outpatient, or home health environments.
- Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic medical record (EMR) systems while maintaining compliance with medical terminology standards.
- Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, self-care techniques, and exercises to promote long-term wellness beyond clinical settings.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy practice.
- Proven experience in acute care hospital settings, outpatient clinics, or home & community care environments.
- Expertise in developing comprehensive care plans that address individual patient needs across diverse age groups.
- Proficiency with EMR systems for documentation and treatment tracking.
- Skilled in discharge planning processes to facilitate effective patient transitions from hospital to home or community settings.
- Familiarity with specialized therapies such as trigger point therapy and orthopedics-focused interventions.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with patients of all ages including pediatrics and geriatrics. Pay: $ $55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
