We are seeking a detail-oriented Order Picker to join our growing logistics team in San Antonio, Texas. As an Order Picker, you will play a vital role in our fulfillment process by accurately selecting items from our warehouse inventory to fulfill customer orders. Your efficiency and accuracy directly impact customer satisfaction. You will work in a fast-paced warehouse environment, utilizing hand-held scanners and following pick lists to navigate the facility and retrieve merchandise. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on order specifications and pick lists.
- Use RF scanners to track inventory and confirm picks.
- Verify the quantity and item number of picked products.
- Ensure picked items are handled with care to prevent damage.
- Stage picked orders for packing and shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory management activities.
- Meet individual productivity targets for picking accuracy and speed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in order picking or warehouse work is advantageous.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Must be able to perform tasks requiring physical exertion, including Lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and logistics processes.
- Understanding of workplace safety and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
Physical Demands:
This job requires considerable physical activity. Candidates must be able to stand and walk for the majority of their shift. The role involves frequent bending, reaching, and significant Lifting of items up to 50 lbs. Employees are required to wear appropriate PPE for their safety. The warehouse environment may have temperature variations.
