You will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse, utilizing various types of forklifts. This role is vital for ensuring that products are moved, stored, and retrieved accurately and on time. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to transport goods within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Perform daily pre-operation checks on forklift equipment and report any issues.
- Accurately pick and stage orders for shipment.
- Organize and store inventory in designated areas.
- Maintain accurate logs of material movements and forklift usage.
- Follow all Safety guidelines and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with general warehouse tasks as needed, contributing to overall team productivity.
- Identify and address potential hazards in the work area.
- Ensure timely and accurate movement of goods to meet operational demands.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience operating forklifts is required; certification is a plus.
- Ability to perform tasks involving significant Lifting, up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Must be able to wear required PPE, including safety-toed footwear.
- Dependable and punctual.
- Knowledge of inventory control principles is beneficial.
