We are seeking an Order Picker to join our busy warehouse in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that customer orders are accurately selected and prepared for dispatch. Your precision and speed directly impact our logistics efficiency and customer satisfaction. You will navigate our warehouse, identify products, and prepare them for the next stage of the supply chain. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from inventory based on order requirements.
- Confirm the accuracy of picked items against order details, using scanners or lists.
- Package items securely and safely for shipping.
- Organize and stage picked orders for efficient loading and transport.
- Utilize manual equipment like pallet jacks and hand trucks for material movement.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free from hazards.
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Communicate any stock discrepancies or issues with damaged goods to supervisors.
- Assist in other warehouse functions, such as stocking or cycle counts, as directed by the logistics team.
- This position involves standing, walking, and potential lifting throughout the shift.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand pick tickets or electronic order information.
- Strong attention to detail to minimize errors.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and reach for extended periods.
- Capability to lift items weighing up to 40 lbs on a regular basis.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to adhering to safety standards and wearing required PPE.
- Basic understanding of warehouse logistics is an advantage.
