We are looking for a diligent Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for all incoming shipments. Your key responsibilities include accurately unloading merchandise, verifying received goods against purchase orders and invoices, inspecting items for damage, and properly documenting all incoming inventory. You will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of our inventory system and ensuring that our warehouse is efficiently supplied. A strong commitment to safety is essential, and you will be required to use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. This role involves regular physical tasks, including lifting and moving boxes and pallets, so the ability to lift up to 50 lbs is necessary. Excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail are paramount to success in this position. You will work collaboratively with warehouse associates and supervisors to ensure a smooth and efficient receiving process. Understanding of logistics and inventory management principles is highly beneficial. Join a dedicated team and contribute to the smooth operation of our supply chain. - Unload incoming shipments from trucks and other carriers.
- Verify the quantity and quality of received goods against purchase orders, packing lists, and invoices.
- Inspect all incoming merchandise for damage and report any discrepancies or issues.
