Our Grand Rapids, Michigan warehouse is looking for dedicated Warehouse Associates to join our expanding logistics team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that keep our operations running smoothly, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping goods. You will work within a dynamic, team-oriented environment, utilizing various warehouse equipment and systems. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe and efficient workspace. A strong understanding of logistics principles and a proactive approach to problem-solving are highly valued. Safety is paramount in our facility; strict adherence to all safety guidelines and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory. Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments, verify contents, and stock inventory accurately.
- Pick and pack orders with precision and efficiency.
- Prepare goods for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with cycle counts.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of warehouse logistics and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse experience preferred.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Capable of performing regular lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Understanding of safety protocols and the importance of PPE in a logistics setting.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
