Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement of loads.
- Transport goods to and from designated warehouse areas, including storage racks.
- Conduct pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure they are in safe working order.
- Assist with receiving and put-away of incoming inventory.
- Pick and stage orders for shipment as directed.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
- Participate in inventory counts and cycle counting activities.
- Adhere to all company policies, including mandatory PPE usage and safety guidelines.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification and/or documented experience.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices for material handling.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of logistics and inventory control principles.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the correct use of PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work different shifts as needed.
