Join our state-of-the-art facility in Provo, Utah, as a Material Handler and become an essential part of our logistics and operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for the movement, storage, and tracking of materials throughout the warehouse. Your duties will include operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment to transport goods, loading and unloading trucks, and organizing inventory. Maintaining an organized and safe work environment is critical. You will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times and strictly adhere to all safety regulations. This position requires significant physical stamina, including the ability to lift heavy items frequently, typically up to 60 pounds, and operate machinery safely and efficiently. We are seeking individuals who are reliable, safety-conscious, and possess excellent equipment operating skills. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing of loads.
- Move materials from receiving to storage areas, and from storage to production or shipping areas.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated locations, ensuring accuracy.
- Perform regular inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stocktaking.
- Maintain a clean, clutter-free, and safe work environment.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and the mandatory use of PPE.
- Follow shipping and receiving procedures accurately.
- Contribute to a team-oriented atmosphere focused on productivity and safety.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift operator certification is highly desirable.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 60 pounds) regularly.
- Proficiency in operating various types of material handling equipment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the correct use of PPE.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
