We are seeking a diligent and experienced Forklift Operator to join our logistics team in Baltimore, Maryland. This role is essential for the efficient flow of goods within our busy distribution center. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. You will operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to transport materials throughout the warehouse, ensuring accurate placement and organization of inventory. This position requires a valid forklift certification and a strong commitment to safety. You will conduct daily pre-operation checks on your equipment and report any mechanical issues promptly. Responsibilities include loading and unloading trucks, moving pallets of goods to and from storage areas, and assisting with inventory tasks. Significant physical capability is necessary, including the ability to perform regular Lifting of items that may weigh up to 50 pounds. Excellent hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness, and attention to detail are critical for success. Safety is paramount in our operations, and all team members must strictly adhere to all Safety regulations and utilize the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport goods to and from various locations within the warehouse.
- Stack and retrieve products from racking systems.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of all inventory.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Accurately document material movements.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations.
