*Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and demonstrate a commitment to improving the quality of life for individuals with varying needs. This role involves working with diverse populations, including pediatrics, geriatrics, and individuals with disabilities, in various settings such as outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and home health environments. The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for developing and implementing effective treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique circumstances.
*Responsibilities*
* Assess patients' needs and develop individualized care plans that address their specific goals and challenges.
* Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to enhance their independence and functional capabilities.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive discharge planning and continuity of care.
* Provide therapy services in various settings including acute care, inpatient, outpatient, and skilled nursing facilities.
* Utilize knowledge of anatomy and physiology to inform treatment strategies and interventions.
* Work with individuals on the autism spectrum, applying specialized techniques to support their development.
* Implement early intervention strategies for pediatric patients to promote optimal growth and development.
* Conduct case management activities to coordinate care among healthcare providers and support systems.
* Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in accordance with medical terminology standards.
* Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in occupational therapy.
*Requirements*
* A degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
* Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
* Experience working in various settings such as acute care, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, or home health is preferred.
* Knowledge of geriatric care principles and experience working with elderly populations is advantageous.
* Familiarity with speech therapy techniques is a plus for integrated patient care approaches.
* Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to occupational therapy practice.
* Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $43.13 - $60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2 – 40 per week
