In this role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the efficient flow of materials throughout our warehouse, supporting our extensive logistics operations. You will handle loading and unloading trucks, transferring products between different warehouse areas, and assisting with inventory management. A strong commitment to safety is mandatory, including adhering to all operational guidelines and consistently using the required PPE. The ideal candidate will have proven experience operating various types of forklifts, a valid forklift certification, and a solid understanding of warehouse safety protocols. You should be comfortable with lifting and moving materials, and possess excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload goods from trucks, trailers, and shipping containers.
- Transport materials within the warehouse to designated locations.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Inspect forklift equipment before and after use, reporting any defects or maintenance needs.
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Identify and report any safety hazards or operational inefficiencies.
- Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to overall logistics goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform lifting and material handling tasks.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing needs.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to wearing required PPE at all times.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain processes is a plus.
