We are seeking a diligent Order Picker to join our growing logistics team in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting and staging products to fulfill customer orders. Key aspects of the job include reading order tickets, locating items within the warehouse, confirming the correct products and quantities, and preparing them for the next stage of shipment. A strong emphasis on accuracy, speed, and adherence to Safety protocols is required. This position involves physical activity, including walking, bending, and moderate Lifting. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers receive their orders correctly and on time, contributing significantly to our overall operational success. Appropriate PPE must be worn at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret customer orders and accurately retrieve specified items from warehouse locations.
- Verify product codes and quantities against order requirements.
- Inspect picked items for damage or defects.
- Stage picked items in the designated area for packing and shipping.
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or issues to a supervisor promptly.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse or order picking experience is beneficial.
- Ability to perform tasks that require moderate Lifting (up to 45 lbs).
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and inventory systems.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and the correct use of PPE.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently.
- Team player mentality and good communication skills.
