We are hiring a Material Handler for our bustling warehouse in Jacksonville, Florida. If you are a reliable and physically capable individual with a strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics, this is the perfect opportunity for you. As a Material Handler, you will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient movement and organization of materials within our facility. Your primary responsibilities will include receiving and unloading shipments, transporting goods to and from various locations, operating material handling equipment, and assisting with inventory control. This position requires a great deal of physical stamina and the capacity for regular Lifting of heavy items, often exceeding 50 pounds. Attention to detail is crucial for accurate material identification and placement. Safety is of the utmost importance in our operations, and all Material Handlers must strictly follow established Safety protocols and wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. You will work closely with other warehouse staff and supervisors to maintain smooth workflow and contribute to the overall success of our logistics network. Prior experience with forklifts or other powered industrial trucks is advantageous, but not always required. We value teamwork, efficiency, and a commitment to a safe working environment. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials.
- Transport materials to designated areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
- Load finished goods onto trucks for shipment.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated locations.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Ensure all materials are properly labeled and tracked.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines.
- Wear appropriate PPE as required for the task.
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
