Paint Sales Associate
We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and highly dependable Paint Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service within the Paint Department, manage inventory logistics, and ensure the store maintains an orderly, professional presentation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Customer Service & Technical Expertise
- Expertly responsible for accurate tinting, mixing, and precise color matching of paint products.
- Promote the full range of paint and sundries to customers, proactively assisting them with product selection and problem-solving.
- Possess a friendly, outgoing demeanor. Greet customers entering and throughout the store, offering personalized, customized service based on the premise of "amazing every customer, every time."
- Ensure all calls are answered promptly, courteously, and effectively.
- Maintain strong product knowledge of all items and possess a comprehensive understanding of the store layout.
2. Logistics & Inventory Management
- A valid, unrestricted driver's license is a mandatory requirement for this position.
- Responsible for the occasional pickup and delivery of inventory and customer orders, requiring safe and efficient vehicle operation.
- Assist with receiving, checking in, stocking, and pricing merchandise throughout the store.
- Must be able to safely and regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
- Assist with maintaining appropriate back stock levels to prevent shortages.
3. Store Operations & Support
- Maintain an orderly merchandise presentation and assist in creating a positive, professional, and safe work environment.
- Accurately operate the billing system to process sale transactions.
- Provide assistance to the manager on tasks including price changes and special orders.
- Communicate any merchandising, cost control, or sales ideas to the manager, and participate in store meetings.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of experience successfully selling Benjamin Moore paint products is required.
- Proven experience in a fast-paced retail or customer service environment.
- Must possess a valid, clean driver's license.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.20-$20.00 per hour
